Terms and conditions

Last updated: draft of October 19, 2026.

Draft to be reviewed by RouteMatic and a lawyer. Items marked "to be set" are not decided yet.

1. Who we are

RouteMatic Car Transport LLC, Miami, Florida. USDOT 4248418, MC-1646404. We ship cars on open trailers, with our own trucks and drivers.

2. The service

We pick up and deliver at the address you give us, as long as the truck can reach it and park safely. If the street does not allow it, we agree on a nearby meeting point.

Transport is on an open trailer. We do not offer enclosed transport.

3. Price

The price you see when you book is the total per car and includes pickup, delivery and cargo insurance. It does not change after you book.

The price can only change if the car does not match what was declared: for example, if it does not run, has height or width modifications, or is larger than stated. In that case we tell you the new price before loading and you can cancel at no cost.

4. Dates

On a scheduled departure we give you the pickup day and a delivery window. If you pick your own date, we confirm the exact pickup day within 24 hours.

Delivery days are estimates. Weather, traffic, road closures or mechanical issues can cause delays; if that happens, we let you know the new date.

5. Preparing the car

No more than a quarter tank of fuel, alarm off and one working key.

Remove toll tags (SunPass, E-ZPass) and secure or remove loose accessories: racks, antennas, loose spoilers.

Personal items inside the car: to be set. If allowed, they are not covered by cargo insurance.

6. Non-running or modified cars

Tell us when you quote if the car does not run or has modifications (lifted, lowered, larger tires or rims). Non-running cars carry a flat $250 surcharge per car on any route and ship on the trips of the truck that has a winch.

7. Inspection and BOL

At pickup, the driver photographs the car on all four sides and you both sign the BOL (bill of lading) with the car's condition.

At delivery, check the car against those photos before signing. Any new damage must be noted on the BOL at that moment.

8. Damage and claims

If the car arrives with damage that was not on the pickup BOL, the claim goes to our cargo insurance. You have up to 9 months from delivery to file it in writing, with the BOL and the photos.

Not covered: damage the car already had, mechanical or electrical failures, damage from undeclared modifications, personal items, or normal road wear (dust, bugs, road spray).

9. Auctions and dealers

To pick up at an auction we need the gate pass and the lot number. The car must be paid and released by the auction, with no pending fees. Storage fees are paid by the customer.

10. Payment

Booking takes a $150 deposit per car. The rest is paid on delivery, or all at booking if you prefer. We take bank transfer or ACH, Zelle, Cash App, card, cash or check.

If the car cannot be picked up or delivered because of the customer (nobody there, car not ready, wrong address, the auction does not release it, or the car is not the one declared), the $150 deposit is not refunded.

11. Cancellation

You can cancel at no cost before we assign a truck. What applies after that: to be set.

12. Your data

We use your details only for your shipment: to set the pickup, tell you the trip stage and send your receipt and BOL. We do not sell or share them with other companies.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the federal transportation laws of the United States.
